Of the 4 Oceanevas that I have bought over the last few weeks, this is the one that I like the most. Yet, the bracelet could be better made and finished. Compared to other similar (or even lower) priced watches, the bracelet pins are not easily removed and the clasp required a few attempts for it to hold fast.

This is my fourth Oceaneva Deep Marine Explorer III ( 3000m depth rating ) automatic watch purchase. There is no other watch in the world that can remotely compare to the balance of sheer ruggedness, durability, accuracy and quality of build of this watch based on real-world comparisons over time in the harshest ocean environment of them all --- surface-supplied commercial diving and mixed-gas saturation diving work. I have owned and used the most expensive and well-known brands of diver's watches for commercial diving over many, many years, and none of them have stood up to the rigors of this kind of work the way the Oceaneva watches have. I have kept two for my own use and the other two will be given as marks of respect to the greatest pioneering commercial divers I have had the privilege to know, men who learned their craft on the old-style deep-sea gear, who transitioned to the early-generation modern gear and then to the ultra-modern equipment as we know it today while thriving in some of the most hazardous industrial working conditions to be found anywhere. Without them, the industry would not be where it is as I write this. There are simply no better commercial diver's watches on the market, regardless of price.
