This watch has been an absolute joy to wear. Getting full Damascus steel paired with a reliable Swiss Sellita SW200-1 movement and a massive 1,250m depth rating at this price point feels like a total steal. The Ion-plated dial is captivating, it catches the light beautifully from different angles and constantly changes character. The bezel action is tight and solid with zero backplay, and despite the bold 42mm size, the 48mm lug-to-lug fits comfortably on my 6.75-inch wrist without feeling top-heavy. I wish they made the damascus bracelet as well with this watch.

This watch is beautiful! I love the Damascus. I did change the strap to leather. I just don't like how rubber straps feel for daily wear. The bezel is very tight but I was told that it will turn easier after breaking it in. Other than that, it's a great addition to my collection.

Well made heavy duty watch. The dial face is shown in the photos as a silver/black demascus face. It is silver with almost a mirror demascus finish. It is a beautiful watch and is a great value. Oceaneva has a well made unique product in the demascus. I would give it five stars but it's a little to flashy for my taste. Just a personal preference not a reflection of the watch quality.

Overall I'm happy with this watch, especially for the price. It's running about 14 seconds a day fast, not too bad. My biggest issue is that the hands and date window look so small on such a large watch, they can be hard to pickup. The clasp on the strap can feel pretty sharp when adjusting. I haven't tested the water proofness yet, but I do have some concerns since the screw down crown can be a bit finicky and never quiet seems to be all the way screwed down. The power reserve seems to last around two full days off the wrist, not great but not too bad Overall the watch feels pretty solid. Has a good weight to it, so far scratch free. The lume is pretty solid

Store owner replied: Thanks for the review. Sorry you are not fully happy. The date size is the same as any other watch with an SW200 movement and same as our previous models. The date on the date wheel is standard size. You could always have a cyclops installed aftermarket for magnification. Sorry hands are to small. We used those on other models with no complaints. We didn't want to do the standard Mercedes hands on this model. Sorry on buckle. First complaint we have had on that. We will look into trying to round the edges more on the next ones coming soon. The crown sits out a bit due to the thick seal inside the crown. It is fully sealed once screwed down tight. The crown and case are the same design and seals that went to the bottom of the ocean for 1600+ meters. See you tube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-69bkc-vC4o Power reserve is 36 ours, That is the manufacture spec for a Swiss Sw200 movement but sometimes you will get more we have noticed. The lume should be torch bright when charged in sunlight. It's a high level Swiss luminova above standard grade. You should be able to read a book with it in the dark once charged in the sunlight fully. Indoor lighting is hit and miss inside depending on the type and K rating.

Excellent watch all round. Stunning to look at and wear. SW200 keeping great time, about 5s on the wrist. Strap is nice and comfortable. Dial and hands are dazzling. Watch is smooth with no sharp edges. Design is well executed, although the case is a clone of their Deep marine explorer line, just in Damascus steel. Pre order price was in my opinion jaw droppingly low. Insane value for what was offered. It is so good that even my wife said its a stunning piece, and she is real picky about my watches. 10 out of 10 for quality, value, design, looks, comfort, I think its one of my best purchases, and I have well curated collection. I know of no better way to get a swiss movement and Damascus steel on the wrist than this. To anyone thinking of buying one of these, get them on the pre order, and sign up for discount codes.its a no brainer. 120% recommended. Just buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I love it, I have tried to fit the white band to see what it looks like but I can’t get the band pins out even with a proper pin tool. I will have to order a pin remover pliers or try a local jeweler but I love the watch, do you know the band pin length and diameter by chance. Thanks guys I do love the watch it’s a good thing to know that the pins are holding so well, it’s not going to come off I loose my watch

Store owner replied: Sorry you are having trouble. The spring bars for sure fit on straps swap but swapping an integrated strap can be tricky without a lot of experience. The owner here can do one in 30 seconds with just a screwdriver and not scratch the watch. There is kind of an art to it and a lot of practice and he has been doing it for almost 20 years. We suggest taking to a jeweler if you cannot get it. They will usually do it for free as only takes them a couple minutes.

The shape of the watch itself is not much different from existing diver watches, but I am not sure if it will show up well in the photo, but I am very satisfied with the way the Damascus patterns shine depending on the angle under bright lighting. Only one word needed to describe the Oceaneva Deep Marine Explorer II with Damascus Steel Dial -- WOW! This is an absolutely gorgeous piece! The pictures do not do this watch justice. You must see it in person and on your wrist. I have owned it for less than a week and have had several comments, even from my wife who rarely ever comments on my watches. As a watch enthusiast with several luxury brands from Hublot to Rolex and Omega, I am very impressed with the quality of this Oceaneva. The presentation in the pelican styled case is well done. The Damascus Steel really catches the eye. The 120-click unidirectional bezel is not only a beautiful piece of artwork, but also very smooth. The Damascus Crown has a great feel and lots of grip. The lume is some of the best I have ever seen on a watch. The two pictures included here show one lume shot in a dark room after 2 hours outside during a time of complete overcast and the other lume was after 2 hours in direct sunlight. Absolutely amazing glow! The Damascus Buckle wraps nicely around the extremely comfortable fluoroelastomer rubber strap. The watch has some weight to it and feels really nice on the wrist. Date setting is very smooth as well, with excellent snap to position (remember to never set the date when the time is between 8pm and 4am - it can damage the movement). The accuracy has been on average -6 seconds per day which is well within the specifications of the Sellita SW200-1 movement. As a lover of watches, I really cannot say enough about this watch and seriously doubt you will find another one with these specs and quality at this price. The look and feel are outstanding - will most likely become my everyday watch -- at least until my next purchase :).

From the time I looked at this watch, I wanted it. I was expecting this to be my everyday watch, the watch I didn't take off, well it isn't. I watched the PHATKAT videos about 10 times before buying it, I couldn't wait for the delivery. I unboxed the watch and put it on, and well, I was disappointed. I am a large man (6'7, 270) and have 8 inch wrists, this watch feels very tiny at 42mm, the bezel takes up 5mm on each side so the visible dial is only 32mm, this is not something I would want to take scuba diving. Now don't get me wrong, the watch is an absolute thing of beauty, I just want the thing of beauty, bigger. In the future, I would love to see Oceaneva produce something in the 46-47mm, 52mm lug to lug size, I know my size is not the mass buying audience, but the big people are out there.

This is my second Oceaneva watch purchase. I was so pumped about the Damascus look upon order, but when it arrived, highly disappointed in the dial! Very washed out, just looks like chrome mirror-like finish with scratches. Everything else looks good with the “grain” appearance, but I haven’t even worn it out yet because it’s kind of embarrassing. My friend ordered a white dial version of Damascus and I wish I did also. I’m kinda stuck with a great watch that will remain unworn most of the time I own it. Unfortunately, makes me question the future with styling at Oceaneva. Mechanically, solid as hell… this Damascus dial missed the mark for me… might find mine on the secondary market…

The watch is very nice. It isn't quite what I was expecting. I know that the dial is also supposed to be Damascus, but it almost looks more like a mirror finish and it's very difficult to see the Damascus layering. The crown has a large blemish and I'm not able to see any inscribing on the crown. The blemish seems to be due to the Damascus. I like the watch, but it isn't quite what I had hoped for.

Store owner replied: Thanks, please send us a picture of the blemish. The crown does have Damascus layers so it is possible that is blending in with the logo. They for sure all have our engraved logo.

The Damascus steel really makes a difference (particularly on the dial, but the case, crown, and bezel all look fantastic). The case has a brushed stainless steel look, but the Damascus "grain" adds a great deal. The bezel is highly polished, and is a bit like the dial in terms of changing as the light changes. The dial is just a stunner; depending on the light, it ranges from something like a sliver (or even pale blue) to a deep, grained black. It is hard to describe (although I will say the Oceania website photos do a good job capturing some of the range of impressions the dial can give. The strap is really comfortable, and the strap buckle is itself quite a looker (it is really large, but lovely). It alcoves together quite nicely as a watch that is far from typical.

A fantastic watch, I’m still thrilled a couple of hours after taking delivery. Feels great on the wrist and well finished all round. The photos don’t do justice to the Damascus steel. Sits nicely alongside my other divers.This watch would be good value at full price, the pre-order deal was practically a give-away!

Was a bit nervous buying from a microbrand for the first time... But so glad I did. This watch is fantastic and I have received many compliments since I've worn it. The Damascus dial is amazing,especially when the light catches it. The video won't do it justice! I had to wait a little with the production delays but very happy with the product overall.

Overall I'm happy with this watch, especially for the price. It's running about 14 seconds a day fast, not too bad. My biggest issue is that the hands and date window look so small on such a large watch, they can be hard to pickup. The clasp on the strap can feel pretty sharp when adjusting. I haven't tested the water proofness yet, but I do have some concerns since the screw down crown can be a bit finicky and never quiet seems to be all the way screwed down. The power reserve seems to last around two full days off the wrist, not great but not too bad Overall the watch feels pretty solid. Has a good weight to it, so far scratch free. The lume is pretty solid

Store owner replied: Thanks for the review. Sorry you are not fully happy. The date size is the same as any other watch with an SW200 movement and same as our previous models. The date on the date wheel is standard size. You could always have a cyclops installed aftermarket for magnification. Sorry hands are to small. We used those on other models with no complaints. We didn't want to do the standard Mercedes hands on this model. Sorry on buckle. First complaint we have had on that. We will look into trying to round the edges more on the next ones coming soon. The crown sits out a bit due to the thick seal inside the crown. It is fully sealed once screwed down tight. The crown and case are the same design and seals that went to the bottom of the ocean for 1600+ meters. See you tube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-69bkc-vC4o Power reserve is 36 ours, That is the manufacture spec for a Swiss Sw200 movement but sometimes you will get more we have noticed. The lume should be torch bright when charged in sunlight. It's a high level Swiss luminova above standard grade. You should be able to read a book with it in the dark once charged in the sunlight fully. Indoor lighting is hit and miss inside depending on the type and K rating.

Excellent watch all round. Stunning to look at and wear. SW200 keeping great time, about 5s on the wrist. Strap is nice and comfortable. Dial and hands are dazzling. Watch is smooth with no sharp edges. Design is well executed, although the case is a clone of their Deep marine explorer line, just in Damascus steel. Pre order price was in my opinion jaw droppingly low. Insane value for what was offered. It is so good that even my wife said its a stunning piece, and she is real picky about my watches. 10 out of 10 for quality, value, design, looks, comfort, I think its one of my best purchases, and I have well curated collection. I know of no better way to get a swiss movement and Damascus steel on the wrist than this. To anyone thinking of buying one of these, get them on the pre order, and sign up for discount codes.its a no brainer. 120% recommended. Just buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I love it, I have tried to fit the white band to see what it looks like but I can’t get the band pins out even with a proper pin tool. I will have to order a pin remover pliers or try a local jeweler but I love the watch, do you know the band pin length and diameter by chance. Thanks guys I do love the watch it’s a good thing to know that the pins are holding so well, it’s not going to come off I loose my watch

Store owner replied: Sorry you are having trouble. The spring bars for sure fit on straps swap but swapping an integrated strap can be tricky without a lot of experience. The owner here can do one in 30 seconds with just a screwdriver and not scratch the watch. There is kind of an art to it and a lot of practice and he has been doing it for almost 20 years. We suggest taking to a jeweler if you cannot get it. They will usually do it for free as only takes them a couple minutes.

The shape of the watch itself is not much different from existing diver watches, but I am not sure if it will show up well in the photo, but I am very satisfied with the way the Damascus patterns shine depending on the angle under bright lighting. I have about 30 watches, but I have been wearing only this watch since the moment I received it.

Amazing watch for the price! The Damascus Steel is absolutely gorgeous. The Sellita movement is well within specs of daily accuracy (- 6 seconds per day on mine) and 10 minutes shy of 40 hours reserve. The rubber strap is extremely comfortable. You can't go wrong with this Oceaneva!

Only one word needed to describe the Oceaneva Deep Marine Explorer II with Damascus Steel Dial -- WOW! This is an absolutely gorgeous piece! The pictures do not do this watch justice. You must see it in person and on your wrist. I have owned it for less than a week and have had several comments, even from my wife who rarely ever comments on my watches. As a watch enthusiast with several luxury brands from Hublot to Rolex and Omega, I am very impressed with the quality of this Oceaneva. The presentation in the pelican styled case is well done. The Damascus Steel really catches the eye. The 120-click unidirectional bezel is not only a beautiful piece of artwork, but also very smooth. The Damascus Crown has a great feel and lots of grip. The lume is some of the best I have ever seen on a watch. The two pictures included here show one lume shot in a dark room after 2 hours outside during a time of complete overcast and the other lume was after 2 hours in direct sunlight. Absolutely amazing glow! The Damascus Buckle wraps nicely around the extremely comfortable fluoroelastomer rubber strap. The watch has some weight to it and feels really nice on the wrist. Date setting is very smooth as well, with excellent snap to position (remember to never set the date when the time is between 8pm and 4am - it can damage the movement). The accuracy has been on average -6 seconds per day which is well within the specifications of the Sellita SW200-1 movement. As a lover of watches, I really cannot say enough about this watch and seriously doubt you will find another one with these specs and quality at this price. The look and feel are outstanding - will most likely become my everyday watch -- at least until my next purchase :).

From the time I looked at this watch, I wanted it. I was expecting this to be my everyday watch, the watch I didn't take off, well it isn't. I watched the PHATKAT videos about 10 times before buying it, I couldn't wait for the delivery. I unboxed the watch and put it on, and well, I was disappointed. I am a large man (6'7, 270) and have 8 inch wrists, this watch feels very tiny at 42mm, the bezel takes up 5mm on each side so the visible dial is only 32mm, this is not something I would want to take scuba diving. Now don't get me wrong, the watch is an absolute thing of beauty, I just want the thing of beauty, bigger. In the future, I would love to see Oceaneva produce something in the 46-47mm, 52mm lug to lug size, I know my size is not the mass buying audience, but the big people are out there.

Store owner replied: Thanks Sorry not big enough for you. The problem is the market for 46-47mm is very limited. The strap should fit up to a 9 inch writs. If it does not fit then your wrist exceeds 9 inches.

This is my second Oceaneva watch purchase. I was so pumped about the Damascus look upon order, but when it arrived, highly disappointed in the dial! Very washed out, just looks like chrome mirror-like finish with scratches. Everything else looks good with the “grain” appearance, but I haven’t even worn it out yet because it’s kind of embarrassing. My friend ordered a white dial version of Damascus and I wish I did also. I’m kinda stuck with a great watch that will remain unworn most of the time I own it. Unfortunately, makes me question the future with styling at Oceaneva. Mechanically, solid as hell… this Damascus dial missed the mark for me… might find mine on the secondary market…

We have people standing in line for this particular model. or perhaps we can swap for a white dial one as we have 1-2 white dials here left in stock at least for right now then we will have no more in stock until March 25'.

The watch is very nice. It isn't quite what I was expecting. I know that the dial is also supposed to be Damascus, but it almost looks more like a mirror finish and it's very difficult to see the Damascus layering. The crown has a large blemish and I'm not able to see any inscribing on the crown. The blemish seems to be due to the Damascus. I like the watch, but it isn't quite what I had hoped for.

Store owner replied: Thanks, please send us a picture of the blemish. The crown does have Damascus layers so it is possible that is blending in with the logo. They for sure all have our engraved logo.

The Damascus steel really makes a difference (particularly on the dial, but the case, crown, and bezel all look fantastic). The case has a brushed stainless steel look, but the Damascus "grain" adds a great deal. The bezel is highly polished, and is a bit like the dial in terms of changing as the light changes. The dial is just a stunner; depending on the light, it ranges from something like a sliver (or even pale blue) to a deep, grained black. It is hard to describe (although I will say the Oceania website photos do a good job capturing some of the range of impressions the dial can give. The strap is really comfortable, and the strap buckle is itself quite a looker (it is really large, but lovely). It alcoves together quite nicely as a watch that is far from typical.
