My GREEN Oceaneva 6000M GMT is Incredibly well-built and absolutely stunning. It’s not just overbuilt and bulky. The watch is very finely made and finished flawlessly. The presentation in the big blue box with tons of nice Oceaneva keepsakes makes for an excellent presentation, especially since the heavy-duty case wouldn’t be out of place transporting a piece of incredibly expensive dive gear, or a precise instrument other than this incredible watch. I’ve had this watch for over six months and I’ve been wearing it very regularly. It keeps flawless time and has had no issues, and it gets me compliments with every wear. This watch, despite its robust construction, is surprisingly wearable. By far the best watch available at this price point, I’m very happy that the only place Oceaneva cut their costs was with the rubber strap. It’s a high-quality strap, but such a beast of a watch should really have a matching titanium bracelet or a thick NATO or Zulu strap. I’ll absolutely be equipping this with the future Oceaneva bracelet. The only reason why I’m not giving this five stars is because the dial color on my watch looks nothing like what’s advertised on the website. I absolutely love GREEN and I have many lovely green watches. I’m always looking for nice, bright, GREEN greens on watches. I was drawn to the flashy Kelly green of this watch’s dial as it appears online, but the actual shade of green on the watch is MUCH, much darker. It’s still GREEN, but this was quite disappointing. In fact, I picked up a spare of this exact watch to keep in mint condition, and I was hopeful that my first watch was simply a mis-colored dial, but it was equally dark, and far more drab than what the website’s images show. Unfortunately, it’s more of a brown-green/olive-green than the beautiful shade of jade that the pictures on the website show. As a matter of fact, this issue held me back from buying one of the green 6000M World Time watches, especially because I saw a YouTube video review of an early-released green 6000M World Time that displays the same issue with that model (much darker green than what appears on the website). I don’t think Oceaneva should use computer-generated images that show more vivid colors on the watches than what they actually look like in real life. This is far from being the end of the world, but it bothers me and I want to give a heads-up to anyone else out there looking to get the exact, vibrant colors on your wrist that you see on the website. Wear your watches in happiness and good health!

Store owner replied: Thanks for the input. We don't typically get such complaints as watches typically arrive looking better than the pictures. Our reviews on the site reflect this. We do typically use a mix of real and CGI. CGI (same technology used in movies) is actually the industry standard. It is the industry standard with basically anything your purchase online currently. It has been the standard in the watch industry for many years. You have probably seen pictures with other brands of watches and thought they were real but they are CGI. Some are that good. Basically all established brands including the biggest globally use it. Photographing watches is very difficult and very expensive to get them looking correct and professional is hit and miss form one photoshoot to the next. Sometimes you can't even get them looking very good at all. Every watch photographs different as far as series. The owner had 15 years experience photographing watches before starting this brand so he was very keenly aware of this fact. You can easily end up with very bad photos unless everything goes perfectly. Then when you do that usually the real photos require so much photoshopping to get all details and such correct and look good that you might as well do CGI anyway. If we paid a pro photographer to do all models with each releases we would have to raise prices to cover it. It is that expensive and time consuming and results can vary and often not even wind up very good. CGI involves an artist with the piece in hand and blue prints and building pictures form the ground up to try to get every detail correct. Every watch we sell we think look as better in person that the pictures we use. The biggest problem with colors is even if the original photo is correct and portrayed under bright light every phone, monitor etc., can change the shade of the color slightly. It can vary from one device to another. Also when pictures are taken depending on what device is used it also slightly changes the color. So it's one of those things where we do the best we can to portray the color correctly but it can vary largely due to different devices being used to view it verses how it looks in person to the eye. We do have a return policy if a customer does not like how it looks in person but this virtually never happens. We make great effort to provide accurate and extremely detailed pictures to show exactly what will arrive to your door.
