The Oceaneva arrived quickly and was very well presented in a nice, rugged box, along with an extra silicone strap. First impressions were very positive. The craftsmanship is quite good, and I especially like the polishing and overall finishing of the watch.
My particular model is equipped with the Sellita SW200 movement. On the timegrapher, it was running at approximately +17 seconds per day. That’s not bad, although with a Sellita movement you can always hope for slightly better accuracy.
I also had a few questions for the company, and my emails were answered within 24 hours, so my experience with their customer service has been very positive and responsive.
My only real disappointment is the dial. It has a nice red color, but in person the shade and appearance are somewhat different from what I expected based on the pictures. This could simply be due to lighting conditions, but it was still a little disappointing because the dial color was one of the things that attracted me to this particular model.
Other than that, the Oceaneva is a very nice dive watch with good craftsmanship, solid finishing, a respected Swiss movement, and responsive customer service. Overall, I’m happy with the watch.
This looks nothing like the picture... I have 5 more oceaneva watches and this one is disappointing on the color... the listing photo is very misleading
Store owner replied:
Sorry you were not fully satisfied. The dial is brighter red in person. Note: Buyer did keep product even when offered label for return.
I now have five Oceaneva watches in my collection. They are unique & different. The red dial on this stunning timepiece is incredible. ⌚️🤩🎉 As always a great quality SW200 Swiss auto movement & overall a very durable quality build for a reasonable price.
The cool blue dive case packaging is great as well.
I highly recommend all collectors add an Oceaneva to their collection. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
While I have several Oceaneva watches I was a little disappointed in this one. While the titanium is grade 2 and not 5 is fine but scratches easier. The Red MOP is a disappointment as it is almost just a flat red with very very little shimmer and much brighter than what was pictured in there ad. To get the shimmer I have to tilt in bright light as you can see in pictures. I am debating if I want to keep. The watch is keeping about +15 sec/day which I would expect better from a Sellita SW200, suspect they used a standard grade and not the Elabore, premium, or chronometer grade just to say it's a Swiss Automatic watch. I think the Miyota 9015 would be a better option. But, overall for the sale price I guess you can't complain to much. If I paid there full price I would have a serious problem. All in all still a good classy work watch.
Finally added the red mother-of-pearl to my Oceaneva collection.
I paired it with a vermillion red leather band which made it a stand out in the crowd of equally beautiful Oceaneva watches.
(Apologies for the mediocre cell phone shots)
The Oceaneva Deep Marine Explorer II Titanium Limited Edition Red MOP Dial is absolutely gorgeous. This watch packs excellent specifications, is made with the greatest quality, outstanding fit & finish, and very good value for money. Packaging is fantastic, fast shipping, and world-class customer service by Oceaneva. I'm very happy and highly recommend Oceaneva.
The watch is a total gem, and I bought it at an incredible discount, too! I didn't think I would like the Titanium case and bracelet, but the feel, fit, and finish are excellent! I have another Oceaneva watch and it is just as nice. I would highly recommend owning at least one!
Very nice watches haven’t taken it off yet🤣🤣
Like this oceaneva so much I’ve ordered two more 🙈
I’ve four Rolex watches and tbh the quality of these watches is definitely the same but without the hiked up prices of Rolex !!!!
YOU SHOULD BUY ONE
The dial color and mother of pearl "texture" was nothing like the website images. The dial was the main reason I purchased the watch. Very disappointing. With that significant of a color deviation, I will not purchase anything from your company again.
I took a chance on the Red Mother of Pearl Deep Marine Explorer II Titanium during a sale and was impressed enough to come back and buy the White Mother of Pearl version as well. The build quality, fit, and overall wear have genuinely exceeded expectations. Compared with watches I own from Omega, IWC, and Christopher Ward, these feel fully competitive in quality and comfort. Oceaneva has delivered an excellent product, and I’ve been very pleased with both pieces.
I now have ordered 7 watches and have been very pleased. However this watch from a functioning aspect is fine, the dial color is not. I expected a ruby red but received a much toned down red.
I have the blue and the red mother of pearl. The watch is top notch, and the mother or pearl dials make the watches conversation pieces. The red however is not as dark as in the pictures. Still, it is a beautiful watch, just not as close a match to my oxblood shoes as I thought it would be.
I'm a fan of the watch in general I own several. However the dial was a bit of a disappointment. The mop is so flat it just looks like a plain dial. Also the movement is a 16+ second which is fine but not great considering the upgrade.
The watch bracelet is of very poor quality, it is made of titanium but uses pins instead of screws. In addition, the titanium is not treated which causes scratches easily. In conclusion, it is a watch with a high price but poor construction and bad finish.
Store owner replied:
Sorry you were not fully happy, Screws are perceived as higher quality but honestly pins never work their way out. Screws are perceived as higher quality by most so going forward all releases will have screws. As far as scratching. Grade 2 Titanium does scratch slightly easier than 316L stainless. The Oxide Layer: Grade 2 Titanium quickly forms a natural oxide layer when exposed to air. When you scratch a titanium object, you are often tearing through this darker oxide layer, exposing the brighter raw metal underneath. This makes new scratches highly visible, though they do "heal" or dull over time as the exposed scratch oxidizes and darkens again. All our new releases are actually focused on Grade 5 Titanium.
Watch is absolutely stunning and very well made! The only slight negative about the Watch was it felt a little smaller on wrist than I thought it would, but then again I do have a 7.5 inch wrist. Overall this watch is made incredibly well and is very light weight due to the titanium materials used that both the watch case and bracelet! The color pops on the red mother of pearl dial! Overall a great watch!! Can't wait to get another one!
I have to say the red mother of pearl on the dial is stunning in the sunlight. It is very well constructed with fine craftsmanship using titanium for the case & bracelet. I was blown away by how beautiful the watch is in person when I opened the dive case. This will not be my last watch from Oceaneva!!! Thank You so much.
I have owned (and still do) several of their older models and these are just as nice and better in some ways.. As its made of titanium, its very light on the wrist.. The main thing here is the incredible value with a this watch.. Well made with a Swiss movement for a super low price.. Very happy!
What a beautiful watch. The weight from the titanium (or lack there of), the design, the movement, the style are all exquisite. Well worth the pre-sale price and the wait. This is my 4th Oceaneva watch and I love them.
